Sept 2-5 ~ Camping

A great end to the summer - one last camping trip.  It was pretty eventful...After our last camping trip where we had a big storm, our friends bought a tent trailer since their tent did not weather the storm very well.  Wouldn't you know it, we get hit with another storm.  We get woken up on Saturday night around 4am by the thunder and lightning.  We head outside to remove the canopy off the tent trailer, and the canvas off the dining shelter because the wind is pretty crazy.  My friend Andrea says "look at your tent!" and I turn around - it's a dome tent, but it's completely distorted, because the wind is blowing on it, making it look like a pie piece from Trivial Pursuit.  She says "get everybody inside!"....Sean grabs the older two, I grab the baby and his diaper bag and off we go - 9 of us slept in the tent trailer.  Cozy, but also very comfortable!  I think we need one of those...We ended up all 9 of us in the tent trailer the next night as well, because the older two were going to sleep in there anyhow, and it was raining by the time it was time for bed.  Even though the sleeping arrangements were a little wacky, the days were great.  The pool area had a great splash pad and waterslide, and the kids had an awesome weekend.
