Well we ended up with an impromtu party at our house - the best kind. All neighbors, so nobody has to drive, the kids stayed up until midnight, and had a great time. Here we are with less than one minute left in the countdown, and me trying to capture the moment QUICKLY!!

December 27 ~ Sick Boy
Mason has an ear infection, and gets into these coughing fits - so he doesn't sleep very well. We brought him down at 10:30pm, he lays on us for a bit, but then goes a little crazy...this went on until about 11:30pm.

December 21 ~ Piano Recital
Ah yes - piano recital AND hockey game at 6:30...The teacher put Connor at number 50, so he played his game, rushed over to the recital and came in when number 48 was playing. Here's a victorian era - looking Morgan before the recital.

November 5 ~ Holiday Picture
It's that time of year again - dress up the children and traipse to Walmart for the holiday portrait....I wonder how many more years I'll get away with this?

October 31 ~ Halloween
Mason has been saying that he wanted to be a pirate, but since I had a Spiderman costume at home, I convinced him that he needed to be a superhero. He is not a big fan of Connor's costume. Morgan went to a birthday/Halloween costume, and there was a face painter there - she looked amazing when she came home, and we tried to keep it overnight but it was mostly gone this morning. This is my attempt at re-creating it - I probably have it about 10% right.
October 30 ~ Swimming Class
I don't often take the camera with me to swimming class, but since all three kids are now taking lessons, and I'm on the sidelines, I took the opportunity. It also helps that I've got my sister's awesome camera with the new lense. Not quite the same as my little point and shoot. This is the first organized activity that we've put Mason in, and he LOVES it...to the point where it's painful to tell him that the lesson is over. He cries every time.
October 29 ~ Selena Gomez
A night with Selena Gomez - plus a few thousand screaming girls. Those voices are high-pitched!!
Yes, Selena is finally ON STAGE!!!!!
October 15 ~ Convocation!
Wow! Sean is officially an MBA graduate! We spent the weekend in Halifax, and had a great time sans children. It's been a long road, with sweet success at the end.
October 9 ~ Apple Picking
Another really warm day - perfect for apple picking! Mason would not stop eating apples - he probably had two whole ones just on the drive back home.
And of course, our Thanksgiving Dinner - mom cooked the turkey in the BBQ so the house wouln't get too hot. Yum!
October 8 ~ Al Fresco Dining
What a beautiful day - it was so warm out that we decided to have dinner al fresco. Unfotunately for Steve, the mosquitoes are still out and about - still, great to enjoy a family dinner outside in October

October 7 ~ 10 Year Anniversary!!
Wow! We've been married ten years!! Connor woke up really early, and set up breakfast for Sean and I. He had cereal out (mine had raspberries), and milk, and had found our engagement picture, a wedding picture and a family picture and had set them all up around the place settings. Then he made a card which he left on the floor in my room directing me to the kitchen for a surprise. What a sweet boy!

Sept 18 ~ Big Boy Bed
I found this great bedroom set on kijiji - it included the sleigh bed, an armoire and a nightstand. When we brought it home, I realized that it even matched his current dresser and change table, making the room look nice and put together. I'll have to take pictures of the whole room later on...Today I took the crib apart in the morning, then set up the new bed(maybe not the smartest move, but it only occurred to me after the fact). Sleep Country was set to deliver the mattress between 1pm and 4pm...I was hoping for the early part of that window, and kept Mason up. They arrived at 2pm - plopped the mattress in and we were ready! I made the bed with his new dinosaur sheets (the other sheet set I bought is orange, the exact colour from the bed quilt). We're using a Dinosaur quilt set that I had for Connor when he moved to his big boy bed. I snuck in while he was sleeping in his big boy bed for the first time, and took this picture.

Sept 17 ~ Triathlon
The kids' second triathlon this summer. At the first one, the kids hadn't had swimming lessons in six months, Morgan had just learned to ride without training wheels. This time, they were better prepared - Morgan has made great strides in her swimming this summer, passing two levels. She decided to do the swim without the life jacket, and succeeded. It was a great day.
